Gates of Olympus odds explained: the 28.82% hit rate, multiplier orbs and what 1,067 official demo spins showed

Short answer — Pragmatic Play lists Gates of Olympus with an RTP of 96.50%, a hit frequency of 28.82% and a maximum win of 5,000x the bet. In practice that means roughly 7 spins in 10 pay nothing, and many of the spins that do pay return less than the stake. When tg777 recorded 1,067 paid spins on Pragmatic Play’s official demo server on 15 October 2026, 28.49% of spins won something, but 175 of the 304 wins (57.6%) were smaller than the bet. Three Free Spins rounds (89.2x, 297.5x and 247.3x) produced most of the sample’s return; the other 1,064 spins paid back only about 69% of what they cost. The multiplier orbs, worth up to 500x, only matter when they land on a spin that already wins: in 31 base-game spins where an orb appeared, 18 paid nothing at all.

This guide explains what each official number means for a player in pesos and keeps three kinds of statement apart: facts confirmed by Pragmatic Play (linked where they appear), tg777’s own calculations, and the demo sample, which is a small observation and not an estimate of RTP. Peso amounts are hypothetical examples. Sources were checked on 15 October 2026.

The official numbers and where they come from

Pragmatic Play’s Gates of Olympus game page confirms the RTP of 96.50% and describes the mechanics: 8 to 30 matching symbols anywhere on tumbling reels pay up to 50x, multiplier symbols carry values up to 500x, and 4 or more scatters award 15 free spins. The game data page on pragmaticplay.fun, which is operated on behalf of Pragmatic Play, adds the release date, hit frequency, volatility and bet range. The remaining figures come from the game information returned by Pragmatic Play’s official demo server when the game loads.

Two of these deserve a note. First, the volatility label: pragmaticplay.fun lists “Medium”, while many third-party reviews call the game highly volatile; this article reports the provider’s label and does not rely on either. Second, the 4,000x Ante limit: the Ante option raises the cost of a spin by 25% (the demo charges 25 “lines” instead of 20), and 4,000 × 1.25 = 5,000, so the cap is probably expressed against the higher Ante stake rather than being a lower peso ceiling. That reading is our calculation; check the rules screen of the version you play.

What a 28.82% hit frequency means over a session

A hit frequency of 28.82% means that, over the long run, about 29 spins in 100 pay something — one spin in 3.47 on average. Treating each spin as independent, the chance of a run of spins with no win at all is 0.7118n (our calculation):

Spins in a row Chance of no win at all Cost at ₱20 per spin
5 18.3% ₱100
10 3.3% ₱200
15 0.6% ₱300
20 0.1% ₱400

A dry run of 10 spins is uncommon but not rare: about one session in 30 will start that way. The longest run without any win in tg777’s demo sample was 17 spins. The more important limit of the official figure is that a “hit” includes very small wins. Pragmatic Play does not publish how hits are distributed by size, which is why the demo sample below is useful.

The paytable in multiples of your bet

The demo’s game information contains the full paytable in coins. Dividing by the 20-coin base bet gives the payout as a multiple of the total bet for each cluster size band. Symbol names are not included in that data, so the rows below are value tiers from highest to lowest; the game page’s “up to 50x” matches the top row.

Tier 8–9 symbols 10–11 symbols 12+ symbols
1 10x 25x 50x
2 2.5x 10x 25x
3 2x 5x 15x
4 1.5x 2x 12x
5 1x 1.5x 10x
6 0.8x 1.2x 8x
7 0.5x 1x 5x
8 0.4x 0.9x 4x
9 0.25x 0.75x 2x

At ₱20 per spin, eight of the lowest symbol pay ₱5 (0.25x) and eight of the seventh tier pay ₱10. Those are “wins” on screen and losses in your balance. Even the fifth tier needs 12 or more matching symbols on the 30-position grid before a single cluster pays a meaningful multiple. Scatters pay separately: according to the demo game information, 4, 5 and 6 scatters pay 3x, 5x and 100x the bet, and 4 or more also start the Free Spins.

How the multiplier orbs actually work

Pragmatic Play’s game page describes the orbs this way: multiplier symbols with values up to 500x can land in the base game and in Free Spins, and during the feature each winning multiplier symbol is added to a total multiplier that is applied to the respective win. Two practical consequences follow.

  • An orb on a losing spin is worth nothing. The orb multiplies a win; if the tumble sequence produces no win, it has nothing to multiply. In tg777’s sample, orbs appeared on 31 base-game spins and only 13 of those paid anything.
  • In Free Spins the total keeps growing. Because winning orbs are added to a running total, later free spins can multiply wins by a value built up over the whole feature. That is why the feature produces the game’s biggest results — and why three Free Spins rounds dominated the sample.

A peso example of the base-game orb

This example is invented to show the arithmetic and is not a real spin. At ₱20 per spin, a tumble sequence pays two clusters: 8 symbols of tier 4 (1.5x = ₱30) and then 10 symbols of tier 7 (1x = ₱20), a total of ₱50. If a 2x orb and a 5x orb are on the grid when the sequence ends, the game page’s description implies their values combine to 7x, so the spin pays ₱350. If the same two orbs had landed on a spin with no winning cluster, the spin would have paid ₱0. How base-game orbs are combined is described in the in-game rules rather than on the game page, so treat the 7x as an illustration and confirm it on the rules screen.

tg777’s official-demo sample: 1,067 paid spins

Method. On 15 October 2026 tg777 played Gates of Olympus (game code vs20olympgate) through Pragmatic Play’s public demo server at the default demo stake of 2.00 demo credits per spin (0.10 coin × 20), with no Ante and no Buy. Every server response was saved. Tumble continuations and Free Spins were grouped with the paid spin that started them, so each row below is one paid spin. The final demo balance (100,597.30 from a start of 100,000.00) matches the sum of all recorded wins minus all stakes. No real money was used and no account was opened.

Bar chart of 1,067 demo spins: 763 no win, 175 under 1x, 104 between 1x and 5x, 16 between 5x and 20x, 7 between 20x and 100x and 2 above 100x, next to a comparison of sample and official figures
tg777’s own record of 1,067 paid spins on the official demo server, 15 October 2026. A short sample swings widely and does not estimate the game’s RTP.
Measure Sample result Official figure
Paid spins 1,067 —
Spins with any win 304 (28.49%) 28.82% hit frequency
Wins smaller than the stake 175 of 304 (57.6%) not published
Free Spins rounds 3 (89.2x, 297.5x, 247.3x) trigger rate not published
Return of the 1,064 spins without Free Spins about 68.8% not published
Return of the whole sample 127.99% 96.50% RTP
Longest run with no win 17 spins —
Deepest fall from a previous high 154 bets —

What the sample does and does not show. The hit rate came out within half a point of the official 28.82%; a sample of this size would be expected to land anywhere between about 26% and 31% by chance alone, so the agreement is reassuring but not proof of anything. The 127.99% overall return is far above the 96.50% RTP purely because three Free Spins rounds happened to pay well; a different 1,067 spins could easily show 60% or 150%. The robust lessons are about shape, not level: most spins lose, most wins are smaller than the bet, and the game relies on rare feature rounds to reach its RTP. Translated into pesos at ₱20 per spin, the sample’s worst stretch fell 154 bets — ₱3,080 — below its previous high before recovering, which is the kind of swing a budget has to survive.

Standard, Ante or Buy: same RTP, different exposure

All three modes return 96.50% according to the demo game information, so the theoretical cost per peso staked is identical: ₱350 for every ₱10,000 wagered (our calculation). What changes is how fast money is staked and how much rides on one outcome.

Mode Cost at a ₱20 bet Theoretical cost per action What you are paying for
Standard spin ₱20 ₱0.70 Base game, natural Free Spins chance
Ante spin ₱25 ₱0.875 A higher Free Spins chance (size of the change not published)
Buy Free Spins ₱2,000 ₱70 Immediate Free Spins, whole stake on one feature

Buying the feature does not make the game cheaper or more generous; it concentrates ₱2,000 into one result whose distribution Pragmatic Play does not publish. In the sample, natural Free Spins paid 89.2x, 297.5x and 247.3x — all above the 100x price — but three results say nothing reliable about the average, and a bought round can return far less than its cost.

The 5,000x maximum in perspective

The demo game information gives the maximum win frequency as 1 in 697,350 spins. Assuming independent spins, the chance of seeing it at least once is 0.14% in 1,000 spins, 1.4% in 10,000, 13.4% in 100,000 and 76.2% in a million (our calculation). At ₱20 per spin, 10,000 spins means ₱200,000 staked with a theoretical cost of ₱7,000 — for a 1.4% chance of the top prize. The maximum is real but is not a reason to choose the game.

Before you play

Every spin is random, and nothing in this article predicts the next one. Set a budget and a stop time before playing, do not raise your bet to chase Free Spins or an orb, and check the RTP shown in the game’s own information screen where you play. Online gambling in the Philippines is for adults aged 21 and over; follow the rules that apply to you.
